Japanese Technical Translation

Japanese technical translation is a specialized translation involving the translation of technical documents including user's manuals, instructions, owner's guides, technical reports, test procedures, etc. from English to Japanese, or from Japanese to English. In other words, technical translation is a process to translate documents which relate to technological areas or files which deal with the practical application of scientific and technological information. Technical translation covers the translation of many kinds of specialized documents and requires a very high level of knowledge and mastery of the relevant fields.

The importance of consistent terminology in technical translation, as well as the highly formulaic and repetitive nature of technical writing makes computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools such as translation memories and terminology management tools very useful.

About 75% of our technical translators have either master degree or Ph.D. in respect technology or science fields, and have at least 3 years working experience either at R&D departments or manufacturing function or technical support function.

We can deal with all major document types including FrameMaker, PageMaker, html files, xml files, InDesign files in addition to standard office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
